[US] Τhe Legislative Branch #441391765
Description
The legislative branch of the United States is responsible for making federal laws and is composed of the bicameral Congress, which includes the House of Representatives and the Senate. The House represents the population, with members elected from congressional districts for two-year terms, while the Senate represents the states, with two senators per state serving six-year terms. Congress holds powers such as drafting and passing legislation, controlling federal appropriations, overseeing the executive branch, approving treaties and appointments in the Senate, and maintaining the authority to declare war.
