Description

中華民國陸軍隸屬國防部，負責捍衛國家領土主權完整，平時負責戍守本外島、執行戰備訓練、維護重要設施安全並支援災害防救，戰時則與海、空軍聯合作戰，擊滅進犯敵軍。陸軍設有軍團、防衛指揮部、航空特戰指揮部、教育訓練暨準則發展指揮部及後勤指揮部等，並擁有陸軍官校、專科學校等專業教育機構，以建立「科技化、專業化、全民化」的戰力。 The Republic of China (ROC) Army, under the Ministry of National Defense, is responsible for defending the nation's territorial sovereignty and integrity. In peacetime, it garrisons outlying islands, conducts combat readiness training, maintains the security of critical facilities, and supports disaster prevention and relief. In wartime, it collaborates with the Navy and Air Force to defeat invading enemy forces. The Army comprises corps, a defense command, an aviation special operations command, an education and training and doctrine development command, and a logistics command. It also maintains specialized educational institutions such as the Army Academy and technical colleges to build a technologically advanced, professional, and citizen-oriented combat capability.
