Description

The Berlin Foundation was founded in 1995 in Medford, Clark County, as a non-profit organisation and initiative rooted in memory, transition, and community. After the fall of the Iron Curtain, a number of individuals; many of whom had once lived, served or been stationed in West or East Berlin found their way to Clark County. Though their backgrounds were different, they shared a common history shaped by a divided world. The Berlin Foundation was created to support these individuals as they settled into their new lives in the Union of Columbia, helping them find stability and purpose. It stands as an effort to preserve a shared identity, strengthen old ties in new soil and build a future that remembers where it came from.
