The Archduchy of Austria #4515687
RoleplayENHistoryRoleplayHabsburg Monarchy
Description
Austria was a major state of the Holy Roman Empire, and the center of the Habsburg Monarchy. With its capital at Vienna, the archduchy was centered at the Empire's southeastern periphery. Austria, after being recognized as an Archduchy in 1453, quickly began expanding via royal connections with other kingdoms in Europe. It's dynastical domains soon expanded to include Spain, the Low Countries, as well as overseas colonies. Now, under the rule of Charles V as Holy Roman Emperor, and his brother Ferdinand as Archduke, Austria faces a new dawn, as the threats of foreign powers such as the Ottomans, as well as the new Protestant Reformation, begin to arise. To join Austria, send a request to the group and wait for it to be accepted. To join it's army, send a request to the Emperor's army, the "Kaiserliche Armee", and await recruitment.
