Description
"Reignant seur iceux qui reignier" "Ruling over those who rule" The House of Anjou de Lorraine is the closest house by descent to the Imperial House of Anjou, thus making the Lorraine the Premier Prince du Sang. Not only does the house maintain this distinct privilege of being the most senior courtly family by right of blood, but surpassed their primary rivals as the wealthiest family within the State, both in terms of income and the vast fortune accumulated within half a decade. Branching from the Imperial Family itself in the early part of the 17th century, the House evolved as the result of the union between the last Duchess ad Electress of Lorraine, and the younger son of Michael V.
