Description

"Avant que la mer soit dans le monde, Rochechouart portait les ondes" "Before the sea was in the world, Rochechouart carried the waves" The House of Rochechouart de Mortemart de Viennois, frequently referred to as the Mortemart House, is one of the oldest families in the Empire, tracing its roots back to at the very least the tenth century. This ancient heritage is reflected in their motto. Having once been the wealthiest house in the Empire, the House spent a period of 60 years as the unrivalled noble family until the end of the reign of Constantin X & XXI. The House now maintains the dubious spot of clinging to their ancient heritage as the primary means of self-aggrandisement.
