RHCP was started in the early 80s with vocalist Anthony Kiedis, bassist Flea, drummer Jack Irons and guitarist Hilel Slovak, r.i.p. Following Slovak's passing and Irons leaving the band after 3 albums, the band was joined by John Frusciante and Chad Smith. After MM and BSSM's massive success due to Flea and John's teamwork and the joining of Rick Rubin as producer, John left the band and nearly passed, meanwhile RHCP released OHM with Dave Navaro. After its lack of popularity, he was kicked from the band just in time for John to recover and rejoin the band after a solo album for Califcation. They then release 2 more mass successes before his departure. They hired Josh for two album while John was solo. John rejoined in '20
