RHCP was started in the early 80s with vocalist Anthony Kiedis, bassist Flea, drummer Jack Irons and guitarist Hilel Slovak, r.i.p. Following Slovak's passing and Irons leaving the band after 3 albums, the band was joined by John Frusciante and Chad Smith.
