"May he be shamed who thinks evil of it" ♔▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬♚▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬♔ The 1st Regiment of Foot Guards (Now more famously called the 'Grenadier Guards') was founded around 1650's, when the King at the time was overthrown by Parliament, and was the regiment to be the King's bodyguards well being exiled. Upon the King's return to power, the Regiment was designated as the 1st Regiment of Foot Guards. At the time, the Regiment was not a full grenadier regiment, but did have grenadier company as was standard for most other Line Infantry Regiments.
