Description
Religion: Jodo-Shinshu or Pure Land Buddhism Philosophy: Elements of Taoism & otherwise self-produced Dōkyō-shu is the sister monastery to Banshouin-Ji. It is located in northern Mutsu and exists as a fortified temple. Monks here study the Faith night and the art of war by day. Discipline, devotion to the faith, and dedication to one's studies are all required to join the monastery or enroll as a student under one of the many teachers. Clans allied to this monastery are not necessarily allies, but are clans which sponsor the teachings of Dōkyō-shu and welcome their monks to their lands.
