Description

The official Brunswicker lore faction of the winter roleplay survival adventure game, NORTHWIND! Following the signing of the Treaty of Paris in 1715 and the subsequent deterioration of Anglo-French relations in North America, the British Crown sought the assistance of its German allies in strengthening the defence of its colonial possessions. In the spring of 1726, the Brunswick Ducal Corps departed Europe aboard a convoy of British transports escorted by vessels of the Royal Navy. Following an arduous Atlantic voyage lasting nearly eight weeks, the expedition reached James Bay, where its first encampment was established upon Rupert's Island before advancing into the territories administered by the Saint Lawrence Company. Upon arrival, the Corps formally entered British service under the existing military convention. This arrangement allowed the Brunswickers to operate as trusted allies of the British Crown without surrendering their sovereignty
