Libertas et iustitia et pugnabit pro nobis In 1868 the Presley County Police Department was established as another county wide agency as the sheriff's office wasn't able to maintain control over several areas in Presley County, this agency was formed as a support, it started with several volunteers and no name, after 1870, people in this agency were named "volunteer deputies" and after 1876 the Presley County Police Department was named, volunteers became officers and a rank structure was made. Today the Presley County Police Department strives for the highest levels of safety within the county, with vast equipment and well trained officers. Employee budget; 30 members
