May 9, 1760 British ships arrived at Quebec City forcing the French Army back to Montreal. This made the French sign the treaty of Of Paris which gave the British possession of Northern New France. The people grow restless with the British's imposed taxes and their constant harassment that the French Canadians began to revolt and decided to take back their land that was taken from them. That was when the Montreal Expedition was formed to fight the tyranny of the Brits including one certain group called the HBC. Anyone who got in their way was either fought against or with them to gain one goal, the freedom and their land. faction_description:end
