Indigenous Reconstructive Building Projects of WAH #46925710
Description
Hello, this is a group pertaining to my newfound fixation on attempting to recreate various indigenous dwellings in Waterloo at Home. I do this primarily with groups from around North America, or as some Native American tribes/peoples called it, Turtle Island. If you find it interesting, I started this not because i already had much knowledge on Indigenous people, but because i had been given a gift by a local tribe by the name of "Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation" that consisted of bean, squash, and corn seeds; forming the arc of the "Three Sisters" farming technique. Despite me finding the building system being quite challenging to make these very... natural, earthy native dwellings, i now find it interesting to attempt doing. above all of this, I'm not native myself. because of this, i approach this from the perspective of an outsider who is simply interested in this aspect of Indigeneity.
