中華民國海軍陸戰隊，為中華民國國軍的兩棲武裝部隊，隸屬於中華民國海軍。 負責兩棲作戰、登陸作戰、反登陸作戰、奪島作戰、臺灣本島、外島、離島守備、軍事設施防衛等任務，並有海軍陸戰隊學校培養陸戰隊幹部，在戰爭時也有快速反應及戰力保存的功能。 目前總兵力約10,000人，轄下編制有陸戰特勤隊專職南臺灣反劫船、反恐等任務。 The Republic of China Marine Corps (ROC) is an amphibious force of the Republic of China (ROC) Army, affiliated with the Republic of China Navy. It is responsible for amphibious operations, landing operations, anti-landing operations, island seizure operations, garrisoning Taiwan Island, outlying islands, and the defense of military facilities. The Marine Corps also trains Marine officers through its Marine Corps School, and is also responsible for rapid response and maintaining combat effectiveness in times of war. Currently, the Marine Corps has a total strength of approximately 10,000 personnel, including a Marine Special Forces unit dedicated to counter-ship hijacking and counter-terrorism operations in southern Taiwan.
