Description
𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐓𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐑𝐒 The Pretenders rally beneath the black dragon of Daemon Blackfyre, claiming that the true blood of the dragon sits not in King’s Landing, but among the sons of Aegon the Unworthy. To many lords, Daemon represented strength, martial honor, and the old traditions of conquest that they believed King Daeron II had abandoned. Fueled by resentment toward Dorne and distrust of the crown, powerful marcher lords and Reach houses declared for the black dragon in open rebellion. Though history remembers them as traitors, many who fought for Daemon believed themselves just as loyal to the realm as those who wore the red dragon. The rebellion united ambitious nobles, famed warriors, and bitter exiles beneath a single cause that would echo across generations. Even after defeat at the Redgrass Field, the dream of House Blackfyre survived across the Narrow Sea and continued to threaten Westeros for decades afterward.
