Description
The Continental Navy, founded in 1775 by Colonies of the United States was formed to protect the seas and annoy British warships/British supply ships. Many commanders helped to achieve victory and earn the title of what is now the United States Navy. (USN.) The Continental Navy was not very big and rarely had ships, most were captured by the British. However, some commanders managed to capture enemy ships in success.
