Description
🕊 ɪᴍᴘᴇʀɪᴀʟ ꜱᴇɴᴀᴛᴇ 🕊 ───────────────────── The Imperial Senate, also referred to as the Galactic Senate or the Galactic Congress, was the legislative assembly of the Galactic Empire's Legislative Branch of the Imperial Government, the duties of a member of the Senate varied, voting on issues in the name of planets they represent, creating and submitting pieces of legislation for voting, supporting or opposing legislation proposed by other members of the Senate, and passing legislation that governs the Empire's populace. ───────────────────── "Since my ascension, I have allowed a convenient fiction to persist—that the Empire is merely a continuation of the Republic. The Imperial Senate remains—an illusion of many voices coming together to govern. In truth, there is only one voice. Mine." – Galactic Emperor Sheeve Palpatine
