Description
Following the victory of the central powers in WWI, France, Switzerland, and Italy ceded much to Austria-Hungary and Germany. While some of northern France remained, the majority of the south was lost and Italy as well as the formerly-neutral Swiss were completely dismantled. In their place, Austria-Hungary and Germany planted a new state loyal to them, the Empire of the Mediterranean. As nationalist movements started to resurface across Europe, Germany and Austria-Hungary united into the Greater German Empire with calls to “take the rest of Europe.” Sensing the dangers that had previously tarnished the former allies, the nation had it’s own industrial and nationalist revolt, centered around the preservation of free nations. Announcing they no longer served the Kaiser in 1934, the young nation declared it’s independence although it still had relations with the Greater German Empire. With the power of the Germans, the technology of the French, and the dreams of the Italians.
