Consisting of elected representatives the National Assembly wields a large amount of power including appointing the executive leadership, creating laws, establishing courts and filling them, and creating government districts. The President of the National Assembly is the presiding officer responsible for running all meetings of the National Assembly and administrating the Assembly's staff.
