༻━━━━━━━━━━━༺༻✥༺༻━━━━━━━━━━༺ 7 Platoon, B Company, 1st Battalion, The Royal Manehattan Rifles 1011 ALB The Royal Manehattan Rifles were a regular Royal Army infantry regiment. Their main job was to hold defensive lines and protect important supply and communication routes during the Great War. They were often sent to the Vanhoover-Acornage Line fortifications as part of the larger coastal defense system. While they were not considered an elite group, the Rifles were recognized for their disciplined defensive fire and strong trench endurance. As enemy pressure increased along the front, the regiment was gradually pushed back from forward positions into secondary defensive areas. They continued to reinforce bunkers, roads, and retreat paths while getting ready for tougher battles ahead. Their reputation was based on reliability instead of offensive successes.
