The family remained relatively obscure until the mid 19th century, when the late Vincent Allardyce amassed a massive fortune and effectively bought the family's way into the upper echelons of English Society. Though considered "new money" by some of the older peers, Vincent's business acumen secured the family a lasting legacy. 𝐔pon his passing, his wife Violet took over as the family matriarch and current head of the house. The family resides at their primary seat, Castle Allardyce, though they maintain a significant presence in the city via their London townhouse and various other properties dotted across England.
