The Meridian Mail Company -✦•✦•✦•✦•✦•✦•✦•✦•✦•✦•✦•✦•✦- The Meridian Mail Company was originally founded in 1852 to monopolize transatlantic Asia-America trade, the company started with a capital of £390.000 approximately. The company's fate was discussed after the sinking of the largest ship in the Indian Ocean, carrying more than 120 tons of cargo and 1,200 passengers. The company's future was fully decided in 1868, and it was rebranded as a passenger transport company because this began to generate more revenue with the arrival of more European immigrants from Europe to America. However, the company would continue to expand routes to Asia and even Africa.
