Description
1700s: Sardinia changes rulers during European wars. 1720: House of Savoy becomes kings of Sardinia. 1700s: Kingdom ruled from Turin, slowly modernizing. Late 1700s: France invades; mainland territories lost. 1814–1815: After Napoleon falls, the kingdom is restored and regains its lands.
