Description
House Langward is a noble house from the Crownlands. They blazon their arms with a crown of white stars on burgundy above black. Ser Harrold Langward served in the Kingsguard during King Maegor the Cruel's reign. After Maegor's mysterious death upon the Iron Throne, the new young king Jaehaerys I Targaryen offered Maegor's surviving white cloaks a choice between execution and taking the black. Ser Harrold asked for a trial by combat.
