The Official Gens Maximus for OctaviusRoyal's "Roma." ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Founded on 9/4/2023 by zekebdf Retired after the shutdown of RomeBlox circa July of 2024 Revived for Roma on 10/3/2025 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Gens Maximus is the extended familia of Maximus Tacticus, Praefectus Cohortis of Cohortis I Thebaeorum, Tribunus Laticlavius of Legio X, Praefectus Castrorum of Legio I, and Paterfamilias of the Maximus Bloodline. Gens Maximus is traditionally abundant in military culture and service, with many of its members serving in legions and Roman paramilitary organizations. Gens Maximus is well known for its following of the war god Mars and subsequently also enjoys large farming projects. The Gens is based on Gens Fabia, its cognomen Maximus, and the pop-culture figure Maximus Decimus Meridius from the hit movie "Gladiator," produced by Ridley Scott.
