Many of the leaders in the rebellion recognized that a naval engagement against the British was the primary option to prevent the British restoring their rule over the colonies. They would take action during the Battle of Princeton and the Battle of Nassau. 𝐍𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐥 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐜𝐞/𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐲
