Description
Found in April 1920 Virtus et integritas in ministerium Courage and Integrity through service. The State Police Department was created to stop the illegal exportation of red pine trees in various regions in the state, giving them their iconic name; "red pine troopers". In 1945, the State Police Department expanded into a full-fledge policing agency and to this day holds a primary role of patrolling the state highways, enforcing the laws and regulations of the highway and motor vehicles, and providing law enforcement for municipalities with no or part-time coverage including, but not limited to: - Camden - Fredericksburg - Lauderdale - Deerfield - Hawkins State Employment Budget; Not yet decided upon
