Description
LA GARDE NATIONALE The National Guard was a French military unit that served as a gendarmerie, as well as a police force. It was primarily composed of members of the middle-class, serving part-time and equipped at their own expense. Originally serving as the army of the French Revolutionaries, under Napoleon it became a defensive force dedicated to defending the territories of France. Unlike the Grande Armée, you are required to be of the rank bourgeoisie in the main group in order to serve. In addition, members of the National Guard are permitted to choose when they serve. While you may choose when to go on-duty, guardsmen that fail to actively serve will be expelled from the Guard, losing any privileges their membership gave them. Contact an officer of the National Guard, whether ingame or by different means, in order to join. "HONNEUR ET PATRIE!" - Honor and Fatherland
