"Glory to the Empire!" The Galactic Empire was formed soon after the Galactic Republic was destroyed. Chancellor Palpatine then self-promoted himself to Galactic Emperor. He, along with his apprentice Darth Vader, rule the galaxy as an empire with an army of stormtroopers. Then, the Rebellion formed in an attempt to destroy the Galactic Empire.
