Their ancestors may have been relatives of Saint Hemma of Gurk, who held large estates in the area. The fortress was allegedly already built under the rule of Charlemagne as a stronghold against the Avars. "𝓓𝓪𝓷𝓮𝓼 𝓖𝓻𝓸𝓯𝓳𝓮 𝓒𝓮𝓵𝓳𝓼𝓴𝓲 𝓲𝓷 𝓷𝓲𝓴𝓭𝓪𝓻 𝓿𝓮č!"
