The Parkland State Police was established as the statewide law enforcement agency for the State of Parkland. It is responsible for the protection of government officials such as the governor, and providing protection to the state's Department of Justice. It also houses the State Bureau of Investigations, the primary investigative agency in the state, the Air Support Unit which is responsible for providing air support for pursuits and transportation for government officialsand transportation for the Oakfield County Sheriff's Office SWAT team, and the Special Operations Response Team, the tactical unit of the State Police.
