Description
This community is set in the Bakumatsu Jidai era between 1864-1871, in the final phases of the Edo period. After 200 years of peace, Shōgun Tokugawa Iemochi re-opened trade to the outside world, with treaties favouring the Western powers. In state of civil war, feudal Japan struggles to modernise amidst the presence of Westerners and enormous uproar; moreover, the clans are divided among the different regions, battling neighbouring domains and coalitions to either amplify the power of the Tokugawa Shogunate or restore all power within the Emperor of Japan. European and American traders barter and sell goods from around the world to isolated islands. Among these goods is firepower, ranging from modern breechloaders to Armstrong artillery. Bolstered by their newfound technology, no doubt the outcome will forever change Japan's course of history.
