The SCP Foundation operates underneath many layers of confidentiality and questionable methods, primarily using death row inmates to test anomalous entities or objects in order to better understand their properties. Sub branches of the Foundation called departments to control operations within the SCP Foundation, with each one specializing in a particular field or duty.
