𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐚 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐲 𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐲𝐧𝐨𝐩𝐬𝐢𝐬 The South Carolina Heavy Artillery Battalion was organized during the spring of 1862 with three companies. Many of the men were from Charleston. It surrendered on April 26, 1865. Of the three companies organized within the Battalion includes the infamous Pee Dee artillery company as the battalion 'C' Company. 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐚𝐩: 𝟑𝟎
