The Mayflower State Militia was founded in 1974 as an exercise of the second amendment right to bear arms, and operate a well-regulated militia. The Mayflower State Militia is organized around the principles of self-reliance, preparedness, and community service. “A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”
