Description
𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐒𝐄 𝐁𝐔𝐓𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐖𝐄𝐋𝐋 House Butterwell became infamous for walking the dangerous line between loyalty and ambition during the Blackfyre conflicts. Though connected to the royal court through wealth and influence, members of the house secretly supported Blackfyre claimants while attempting to preserve favor with the Iron Throne. Their greatest disgrace came when Lord Ambrose Butterwell hosted a gathering tied to the Second Blackfyre Rebellion at Whitewalls Castle. When the plot was uncovered, the crown stripped House Butterwell of much of its wealth, lands, and influence, reducing the once-prominent family to near ruin. Their shifting loyalties made them distrusted by both sides of the conflict, viewed as opportunists rather than true believers. House Butterwell remains remembered as a warning that in times of civil war, hesitation and divided loyalties can prove just as dangerous as open rebellion.
