It advocates for a wide range of issues from domestic topics like expanding civil liberties, universal healthcare, pro-union & anti-trust legislation to that of external subjects like energy security through the introduction of nuclear power and closer cooperation with Western Powers such as France, the UK, and the United States. The SDBAP prides itself in being an "outsider" political entity compared to more mainstream parties like the National Union.
