Description
ʀᴏʏᴀʟ ᴍɪʟɪᴛᴀʀʏ ᴘᴏʟɪᴄᴇ The RMP exist in order to deploy. We are a Regulatory body with exclusive investigative and policing skills and competencies, undertaking military tasks complementary to our specialist role. Our core tasks are to 'police the Force and provide police support to the Force'. We are distinct from our civilian counterparts as we have unique operational tasks that have no equivalence in civil society. The RMP deploy as part of the field army, both at home and overseas, in support of the full spectrum of conflict, conflict prevention and post conflict operations. A career in the Royal Military Police is varied and extremely challenging. On joining the RMP everyone undertakes General Police Duties (GPD). GPD provide Garrison Policing, 24 hour manned Police Stations in larger ones and support the military on operations. They investigate crimes ranging from thefts to assaults, conduct arrests, searches and basic crime scenes.
