The City of Jericho #5192529
Description
”The City of Palms, Oasis of Judea” Jericho, known since ancient times as the City of Palms, is one of the oldest and most fertile cities in Judea. Blessed with abundant springs, date palms, and balsam groves, it stands as the oasis of the land and the economic jewel of the kingdom. During the reign of King Herod the Great, Jericho flourished as a place of wealth, trade, and royal retreat, famed for Herod’s winter palace and vast estates. Its people are farmers, merchants, craftsmen, and officials, sustaining the city’s prosperity through agriculture and trade. Priests and Levites reside here when not on duty in Jerusalem. A Steward governs Jericho, maintaining order and overseeing tribute under the authority of the King and the Royal Overseer. Jericho is not only a city of wealth but also a city of its heritage-its walls and roads echo with the memory of our ancestors, while its fields feed the strength of Judea.
