1º BATALLÓN MARINA | MARINE CORPS ■▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬๑۩๑▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬■ The Spanish Marine Infantry (Cuerpo de Infantería de Marina) is the oldest marine infantry in the world, created by Carlos I on 27 February 1537. They are elite sailors drilled with an army. Their purpose is to provide security onboard Spanish Naval vessels and conduct sieges from land at coastal forts, ports, and towns.
