The Military Forces of Texas The Military Forces of The Texas Republic, or TMF for short is the organized military force of Texas and was previously the militia of the State of Texas before the Texan Revolution. The TMF was formed by the Congress of Texas to protect the inherent liberties of each and every citizen and consists of the Army and Navy of Texas. Federal budget limit to 250 personnel.
