The 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗲 (𝗖𝗙𝗠𝗣) is the policing and security service of the Canadian Armed Forces, responsible for supporting command authorities in maintaining discipline, safeguarding Defence establishments, and ensuring the protection of personnel and resources. CFMP works across military bases, units, and operational commands to provide investigative services, security oversight, and professional policing support. It brings together trained military police personnel dedicated to upholding the military justice system, reinforcing operational readiness, and contributing to the effective functioning of the Canadian Armed Forces. CFMP operates under the authority of the National Defence Act and includes key functions such as: • Policing and investigations • Security and access control • Support to military operations • Protective services CFMP is accountable through the Canadian Armed Forces chain of command.
