It was deployed in 1814 at the siege of Naarden and fought in the Battle of Waterloo on June 18. The inscription of the 23e was marked with the inscription Quatre bars and Waterloo 𝐋𝐢𝐜𝐡𝐭𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞 (𝒍𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐲) 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐚𝐩: 65
