Description

The Ninth Legion Hispana does not vanish into mystery but reemerges in dramatic betrayal. After years of grueling frontier duty and disillusionment with imperial politics, its commanders secretly defect to a coalition of Judean rebels during the Great Jewish Revolt. Their mastery of Roman siege craft becomes a weapon turned inward, transforming Jerusalem into a battleground where traitorous Roman discipline threatens both rebel and imperial plans alike. The shock of seeing their own standards raised in defiance rattles Roman morale, and the Ninth’s betrayal becomes a stark reminder that even the empire’s proudest legions can turn their might against Rome itself.
