Description
Historie Hradní stráže se začala psát 6. prosince 1918, kdy vznikla zvláštním rozkazem tzv. Hradní setnina, která byla vyčleněna 28. pěším pražským plukem. Do té doby, od vyhlášení republiky, vykonávali stráž nad Pražským Hradem pražští sokolové, kteří se zhostili, #### své disciplinovanosti, i stráže nad pořádkem v Praze a na mnoha dalších místech nově vzniklého Československa. Za první československé republiky byly nošeny legionářské stejnokroje z Francie, Itálie a Ruska a členové byli bývalými příslušníky čs. legií. Během pozdějšího komunistického režimu Hradní stráž skomírala a byla začleněna pod Ministerstvo vnitra. Nový rozkvět přišel až po sametové revoluci za prezidenta Václava Havla.[2]
