Antalon National Security Agency #5324431
Description
The Antalonian National Security Agency has its roots in the national surveillance service of the Antalonian SSR. Due to Antalon's geographical location, it was a prime location for foreign espionage, and Antalon was riddled with civil unrest. In an effort to combat this, the national surveillance service was heavily expanded and was even more active than in mainland Russia. It had some of the most modern surveillance technologies and procedures, and captured many American spies in its heyday. After gaining independence, the Antalonian government repurposed it to use its technologies solely for the good of the population of Antalon, ensuring safety from violent high-risk criminals and other threats to national security. They also protect important assets and help investigating crime. However, its history is tainted with its soviet origins, and some Antalonians to this day believe the NSA operates nefariously and ruthlessly in its mission to combat domestic threats.
