Description
The 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗿 𝗚𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 (𝗖𝗚𝗚) is a Primary Reserve infantry regiment of the Canadian Army, responsible for providing trained soldiers to support national defence operations and ceremonial duties. CGG operates across garrison locations and training units to maintain operational readiness, deliver professional military training, and uphold the traditions and standards of the regiment. It brings together highly trained personnel committed to excellence in soldiering, leadership, and public representation of the Canadian Armed Forces. The regiment carries out its responsibilities under the authority of the National Defence Act and includes key functions such as: • Infantry training and operational readiness • Ceremonial and public duties • Community engagement and representation • Support to Canadian Armed Forces operations CGG is accountable through the Canadian Army Reserve chain of command.
