Description
The Antalon National Army is the pride and joy of Antalon. Tracing its roots back to the English Navy, it combines the best aspects of American and Soviet warfare, and guarantees the safety and independence of Antalon. Due to Antalon's history of occupation, service in the ANA or its sister-agency, the Civil Defense Agency, is obligatory for all Public Safety Officers. Up until 2010 there was a mandatory draft for all citizens, however it has been suspended due to no current threats and Antalon prospering. It is however ready to be put into effect at any time. The ANA has a reputation of being a well-disciplined, loyal army, having access to some hi-tech equipment. Antalon is pretty open about its possession of nuclear weapons, the number of which are unknown, therefore being watched by the UN Security Council constantly, and it sometimes sanctioning Antalon; not that Antalon cares, as it has a reputation for making shady backroom deals with foreign governments, exporting cheap energy
