Description
Antalon's MoD is the oldest ministry in Antalon history, going back to the English Navy's base, and Fort Custodia, which was built by the US Military and is now the City of Libertas. During the soviet occupation, the Antalonian populace placed great pride in its army; to quell a possible armed revolt, the soviets established a Ministry of Defense, to supervise and oversee the ANA. Civil defense was also put under the MoD. When Antalon regained independence, it was worried about superpowers invading it for a quick grab, so they kept the MoD in its soviet state, and later made the NSA subservient to it, to guarantee a free flow of intel for the defense of the nation. Nowadays, the Ministry of Defense is one, if not the most important ministry of Antalon, being a physical representation of the President's will. Sometimes, strange men in suits are seen lurking around the HQ, not answering any questions and disappearing promptly, the nosy citizen being charged with loitering in the end...
