𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝟏𝟖𝟓𝟒-𝟏𝟖𝟔𝟏 "Orta recens quam pura nites" "Newly risen, how brightly you shine" Victorian era battle focused New and growing community In 1854, New South Wales was a British colony, British troops were starting to be sent home from the Australian colonies back to Britain and her empire to be replaced by a volunteers such as the New South Wales Volunteer Rifles - to keep order and protect settlers or in one case to protect the colony from the imminent threat of Russian invasion following news of the Crimean War reaching down under. The gold rush was also in full swing, bringing a wave of new people and growing tension which brought several internal conflicts. Founded 20/06/25
